gsi turbo 2004 hose split but engine not sounding right

Hi, could anyone help, my zafria gsi 2004 model has done 123.000 miles, suddenly had steam coming from bonnet/engine drove a little down road parked up quick, steam still coming. notice water leaking from underneath, oil check ok, all water gone and realised hose split from top of raidator to turbo. checked oil the following day no oil but no leaks anywhere. then noticed a little on header cover seal, replaced hose but engine still doesn't sound right and we have replaced oil and water and anti freeze. all filters were changed not long ago, oil pump seems fine but were not sure where to look now . please please any suggestions.

You say you changed the oil, how much did you drain from the sump?

gsi z20let problems with engine or just a hose?

Waiting to pull out a junction the other day, Suddenly steam/smoke came from bonnet, thought it was exhaust from car in front at first. drove a little down the road and realised it was mine.
Parked up turned engine off smell of anti freeze or something like that coming through the inside of car. steam still occuring and water leaking from underneath. oil still present when dipstick checked. left for a day parked up due to work, oil no longer present a little noticeable on seal on rocker headcover and split hose from top radiator to turbo.
I think there is more wrong but would like some advice, bought new hose after vauxhall ordered the wrong one first(pain) connected new one now. seal being put on tomorrow but engine doesn't sound right at all. Please can another help me or been through this?

What happened between the junction when the hose went and being left to stand for a day?

only drove for around 100 yards and parked up on a drive way.turned engine off , put key in ignition to see what temp was and it said 90 and was light on dash to say no water but no light came on at the time this all happened.took key out, checked water, water bottle empty, checked oil and oil showing on dipstick. left after this as work commitments and had no time to get back till the following afternoon.

I assume then that the oil light never came on and the oil top up was only a litre or so. It doesnt sound like long enough to cook the oil so can you describle the noise its making? Is it coming from the cambelt end of the engine?

No oil light came on, and yes oil was the normal litre or so. It has a slight tweety noise to it on the drivers side and doesn't sound throaty as all. Revs just over one to start and then drops a little under one. slight rattle soundin from exhaust suddenly heard yesterday which is very strange and when foot on throttle it feels like a slight popping, noticing more especially when you're awaiting lights to change at roundabouts or pull away at junctions etc.
