Mk4 Satnav Centre Consoles. Any one got an idea on how much?

As above really ladies & gents.

Need to know the damage to the wallet (or Steph's purse rather ) that a main dealer is going to do for a Satnav centre console.

Got one currently but its second hand and something is on it that keeps reacting to the paint and making a mess no matter how sanded it is!

So if anyone has bought one from Vxl can you give me an idea on the price.

    Thank you

Been using Plastic primer on the rest of the bits that have come out of the car and theyve been fine.

Just on the centre console its not playing ball. Have sanded it down continuously but theres still some form of reactant. Its only in select places but because were using a flip paint i want the finish to be perfect.

My centre console reacted the same when it was sprayed, can;t remember how the guys got it done in the end

A new silver/black one will cost you under £20 from vauxhall if they can get them

Have sanded it down several times. Using wet & dry went from 240 right down to 1200 with a nice smooth finish and no evidence of any contaminants. Second it's sprayed it's bubbling up.

I think something has come into contact with it as its only a certain area so would rather start from scratch.

To spray? Mine was a all black console, brand new from vauxhall as it was all that was avaiable at the time, and it reacted

    Yeah, to spray.

I dont mind putting in the time to get it all smooth in the first place. And that way the paint should take.

When i did mine a few years ago once it was smooth it was fine.

Iv considered using filler primer too to see if that works but just cant get it sorted and were wasting paint sanding it back to respray it now.
