astra 1.7dti (isuzu) 52 plate - wont start

I have an astra 1.7dti isuzu 52 plate...
I was using the car over the weekend and everything was fine, went to start her up sunday morning and no power at all, car wouldnt even turn over the battery was completly dead, i jump started the car and left it running in the drive for half hour, switched engine off, went back ten mins later and wouldnt start. Monday went and got new battery fitted and started fine, drove to the shop and back, switched off the engine....an hour later battery dead again and wouldnt start......i have checked that no lights/sterio etc were left on, so it cant be anything draining the battery...seems like its an alternator or a charging relay problem????

    Please can anyone help??????

    Thanks

sounds like an alternator problem not charging the battery. Put a multimeter on the battery with the engine running... you should get a reading over 14V if the alternator is charging properly..
