    Tuning Options Remap / DTUK

I've got a 1.9 150BHP Astra, and the performance has started to get a bit dull now so im considering tuning options but have a couple of questions.

1.) is it possible to get a tuning box that can be turned on / off with the sport button. i.e. i get 200bhp with sport button on but 150bhp normally?

2.) With the DTUK boxes, is the CRD-T box much harder to fit than the CRD2 box. I'd prefer to fit it myself, but am a complete novice.

3.) Is it true that remaps are undetectable to insurance companies wheras obviously DTUK boxes are detectable.

    Cheers guys.

    1) I dont think its possible to do this yet. you can however get a remap that is around 160 bhp without sport and 200bhp with sport.

    2) The DTUK boxes are fairly simple to fit. The CRD-T box just has an extra plug as far as i'm aware and you have to be a complete numpty not to be able to fit one. The worst case is you put the plug on the wrong way and the car won't start, but you just turn it around and away to go.

    3) Boxes are obviously detectable, but i can't vouch for the remap.

I might be wrong.. but I don't think that's even possible. You simply *can't* go wrong

so the green box has an increase in power (even tho its marketed as MPG saving?)

Alan are your figures solely down to the green DTUK box?

Yes. It does increase power too.

hey yea mate the green box gets the same and in some cases better bhp than the red box and ive seen lots of ppl post there cdr t box and ive only seen one person get the 215bhp thats going around most get just over 200bhp...

but i have no other modds to the car apart from springs....

but the green box was made to make insurance cheaper.... it does the same thing as the other 2 they both will get better mpg if you drive it normaly.
