    stretched rubber

ok as the title suggests its to do with the stretched look

its not something that i have ever gone for BUT when you get it for nothing you dont complain

i have a set of 18" fox alloys..

    these

but they come with 215/35/18 rubber on them. not normally a big problem BUT the alloys are 8 1/2 wide!

problem is one of them has gone flat and came off the rim. i have over inflated them to 60psi and bounced them about to reseat them but allas i keep loosing air... is it a case of they have to have a sealer put on them or something to get them to sit and seal?

215 on an 8.5J isnt a massive stretch. As above you can try bead sealer but it sounds like the wheel has a buckle. Try and get it tested and see if it balances up ok.

dont think it is m8... it was on the car for a while but it went flat.. went to move it ( with flat ) and it came loose and started to come off so spare was thrown on... its hopefully going to get a MOT this week ( i hope ) and tax so it can be on road as the turbo is off road as o tomoz morn for a long time again...

where would i get this sealer? halfords job or just as a local garage to do it?

it holds pressure for about 2 hours.. left it at 50psi and a few hours later it was at 25psi

cheers mat.. wasnt too sure where to stick this so thought chit chat
