    Lowering springs or coilovers?

    I want to lower my astra but not sure if i should use Coilovers or lowering spring.
    A mate of mine is selling coilovers for £140 is it worth it?
    Looking for 17" alloys for an Astra mk4

    ok, i saw new ones on ebay for £152.
    he never put them on his car and they are just sitting in his garage

    That sounds cheap for coil overs?


    I was looking at getting some spax coilovers, £5oo from Demon Tweeks, plus I had a voucher for £75 off.

    Other makes like Blisten your looking at £6oo+

    For that price they will almost certainly be Racelands. Reviews are very mixed for these indeed. Some have had years of good service from them, others hav reported sets that have had a short life or a ride that is incredibly hard.

    If you are going for coilovers, I'd recommend spending a bit more, and getting a set that have adjustable damping as well as height. Otherwise they can be pretty firm for everyday driving.

    A good quality set of springs by Eibach with matched dampers (not 100% necessary if you just want the 30mm ones) are also well thought of on here.

    ive got a set of JOM adjustable coilovers only cost me £215 new and for that they look brill, there suprisingly good compared to the more expensive brands ive seen used (they were on other cars tho so cant speak for better brands on mk4s)
