how do i take out the steering wheel cover?!

Two questions mate, first question how do i take out the steering wheel cover coz the plastic in the horn is already worn out. 2nd question, can somebody suggest where I can buy the plastic center cover of the steering wheel. i like the irmscher design for the middle portion of the steering wheel but I cant seem to know how much and the part number of this item.

    cheers!

hi mate to remove the steering wheel centre ie the horn and air bag ....
disconnect your battery and wait awhile
there are two star bit screws on the back of the steering wheel one on each side
behind sterring wheel but in front of both indicator and wiper arms ...
remove the screws pull out the air bag with attached horn and unplug wiring and air bag yellow or orange wire i think but just make sure battery is off before doing this has iv seen air bags go off doing it with battery still connected ...

Cheapest way to get a replacement is to buy one off ebay or from a breakers yard.

With the ignition off, remove the keys & put them in your pocket for safety.
Fell along the rear of each arm for a small hole. Insert a T20 torx screwdriver & unscrew the two screws.
Lift the centre of the wheel out & unclip the yellow airbag plug.
To refit follow the above procedure in reverse.
Do not turn on the ignition with the airbag unplugged, if you do it will activate the airbag warning light & you will need to have it reset by use of a diagnostics tool.

The steering wheel cover is the airbag - it's an integral part of the airbag and cannot be removed/replaced
