    Hello & Help please

Hi all, this is my first post and hope i can get some help on the below.

My aerial base unit has come away slightly from the roof and am a bit bothered about water getting in to the headlining. I would prefer to get this repaired at a garage however vauxhall have said it will cost £50 for the diagnostic check to confirm the problem and then whatever it is in parts and labour to fix. Does anyone know any garages in cheshire/manchester other than vauxhall main dealers that do a good job at a cheaper price than the main dealer?

I will update my profile shorlty but in the meantime i have got a astra 58 plate 1.9cdti SRi Xpack.

    Thanks

    Rob

Why would you need to diagnose water leaking in? Unless i am missing something they are chatting balls.. I'm sure it should be alot cheaper than that!
    Current - Celica GT
    Astra - Sold

Hello and welcome to AOC. As to the leaky aerial base, I'd have said that is covered by warrenty, as per what Buckle said
Probably the ONLY Astra Mk3 sitting on Corsa D SXI rims!
And Now a Diesel on Discs all round!

They know it was damaged in a car wash as the aerial has been slightly damaged also, i dont mind paying to get it fixed however paying £50 to get a diagnositc check seems extreme when its obvious its loose and just needs repairing. I was mainly wondering if anyone knows of any garashes that specialise in vauxhalls other than the main dealers around cheshire/manchester?

    Thanks

buy the part off of ebay and change it yourself, it's easy. Open the boot, pull down the headlining, undo the nut and take the base off.
    Gaz

    No longer owns an Astra

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

As above, just go to another vauxhall dealer. They wont have a clue. They will do it under warranty for free. Take the part you have bought back and get a refund.
At the end of the day, it gets dark!!!!!
