    Question Been to vauxhall to order new pistons help

    Been to vauxhall to order my new pistons and been told there are several different choice down to bore sizes anyone know why i thought the bore size was 86mm only?

    I would assume they are talking about oversizes i.e +0.25, 0.5, 0.75,1.0.
    I would ask them what the size differences they are talking about. You then need to know if the block has been rebored so you can get the pistons to match.

    Well they are standard pistons that are coming out surely they wouldnt b overbored as standard?

    86mm is the OE bore size but tbh i think your wasting your time getting pistons from the dealers as you may aswell fit some forged ones.

    Im getting vxr ones from there at £67 +vat each my mate works there but theyre say theres several different choices! Anyone know y or the part number i need

    Yeah i know as im running them in mine. I was just making a comment that for the price of the dealers then you could get a set of cosworth ones and bore the engine out.

    I think the price ive got is good! Any idea wat the part number is for ur pistons and did u have any trouble with getting the ryt ones?

    The OE bore is 86mm so just get them. Id also ring regal and see if they have a set around.
