3 door and 5 door rub strips (MK4)

Are the rub strips the same sort of length on the 3 & 5 door ??,

Iv just got a spare set of strips ready to colour code and just realised they are from a 3 door ,

Have I totally wasted my money gettin these, I wouldnt mind but Iv just spent all afternoon, sanding the back ones down

    Thanks

Ok thanks for the help will have to rehome them and get another set,

m47k, I think there is a "how to" guide on here somewhere for getting them off, if you cant find it you can do a seach for "removing bump strips" and theres loads of info about them.

    Heres the how-to's - http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...ad.php?t=96753

But i dont think there is one.

The rears just pull off. Small little green rubbers around each lug to hold them onto the car.
The front's also just pull off. But there is a screw halfway along that you would need to take the door card off inside the car to get to. I just snapped it instead as it isnt really needed. Open the car door and place a lump of wood wrapped in an old t-shirt up against the rub strip and few taps of a hammer will snap the clip.
iirc it slides from the front to the back when taking them off.
