    Red face astra mk4 key fob range

    hello just out of interest how far do you get out of your keys to lock the doors because i have to be right near it to lock it or open

    Try putting a new battery in it?. Sounds like its low to me.

    on the back of the key is a little 3mm slot, stick a screwdriver in there and pull the key part away split the other part and take the battery out and stick in a new one. it has to be done within a certain time limit otherwise you have to resync the key. cant remember how long though

    Yeh you get get about 3 mins to replace the battery, its a 2032 watch battery which are very cheap and easy to get.

    If you do need to synchronise the remote, again its very easy.
