    Google Earth expert needed

It won't connect to the net

Has randomly stopped working, tried everything in the diagnostics page, checking its unblocked with firewall, accessing the test servers via I.E, clearing the cache etc. Still won't connect.

Anyone got any further idea's. Something must have changed on PC to block it, but no idea what. Using standard windows firewall, with AVG free for virus.

could be something in your hardware firewall but without seeing it cant suggest anything else. Have you got another computer you can try it on?

yeah got a few comps + laptops I can try it on. Will have to give that ago.

Another problem is everytime Firefox is restarted it switches to working on a manual proxy rather than auto. Makes the internet work proper slow, don't know if they could be related in anyway?

the firefox problem sounds like it could be a permissions problem not being able to update the registry. Is it Vista?

Its usually best to set the internet settings with IE

    Windows 7.

IE doesn't have any proxy settings, everything is unchecked. Not set to manual, and if you set it to auto thats unchecked the next time you go back into the settings.

after trying another computer, id say that was where the problem is. I dont know much about windows 7 though. I moved onwards shortly after Vista came out.

Ask me a question about Amigas or DOS and ill be there though
