    Gear Knob

    Just bought a richbrook gear knob but... the fitting instruction never came with it so i have no idea on how to remove my existing gear knob :S anyone know how to do this?

    The car is an 03 mark 4 sxi the lifty reverse one :P im sure i can get the new one on myself just need advice on how to remove the older one

    does it unscrew? like, grab the stick with mole grips or something and twist the knob?

    I have the same fitted to mine. Had to absolutely destroy original to get it off. Always hear of people pulling them off or warming up with hairdryer first but mine was a nightmare. Even worse, since fitting Richbrook knob, it constantly comes loose so I also could do with some help/suggestion of a better knob. Hope you have more luck Fordy. Fitting was easy after removing old one, just fitted the metal collar with 3x grub screws and bobs your uncle.
