oil pressure for t70 turbo on z20let what size oil restrictor

as above im puzzled and its the only thing stopping me,

what size oil restrictor is best to use on a t70 turbo?????

ive tryed 1.5mm but thats 2 big.

what happens if the restrictor is too small and dont feed the turbo much oil as in ive seen them @ 0.35mm for sale is that ok aslong as a turbo gets oil tecnically it should be ok????????? correct me if im wrong.

    help please????????????

Contact the turbo manufacturer, also it's not just a case of it "getting oil" it need's to get enough oil to support the shaft, otherwise it'll destroy the bearing's.

I'm guessing you've bought a cheap Chinese turbo off eBay?

been through this before m8 the oil to the turbo comes off the return from the pump so it not exactly under pressure from the pump it works on the releif side of the pump so when the pump gets to pressure it then releifs the pressure and then feeds the turbo, think back when yu fit a turbo and leave off the return pipe into the sump it doesnt squrt out into a bag or wot ever you used to catch the oil does it it just slowly fill the bag up or container plus it only comes out once the oil pump is upto pressure, hope this makes sence

means the turbo oil seal has had it,so either a new turbo or get it off to be reconditioned,if you was to fit a restrictor in there all your doing is putting less oil to it so suppose it will smoke less but all your doing is masking the actual problem, not having a go but how far will it go,after a month it starts smoking bad again will you just stop the oil totally going to it so it wont smoke ! not having a go just being straight wiv ya m8

The oil feed for the turbo comes off the main oil gallery at the back of the engine, it comes off before anything else, oil pump's don't have a return either.

The reason for the oil not coming out the turbo return with much force is because all pressure is lost because of the change to a large diameter pipe from a small one, also your only turning the engine over at ~100rpm on the starter, nowhere near fast enough to create enough pressure or move enough oil.
