    no claims

    Hi All,

Last year i has a small incident in a car park, there was no damage to my car car but there was to the other ladies to which i agreed it was my fault.

Anyway, she claimed against my insurance, but i didnt claim anything as there was no damage to my car.

My no claims bonus is protected anyway...

but now i have come to renew my insurance i am told i have to decalre this incident as a claim, even tho i didnt claim anything on my half? Is this correct, as they are wanting an extra 200 quid off me now.

    Thanks

Well id assume that a claim either by you or someone else against your policy counts as a claim therefore you have to declare it. But im no expert.

yeah, your insurance had to pay out to fix someone elses car that you damaged, so in affect you will have to pay more. even though your car needed no work.

always the same, if you have a claim where the insurer pays out your premium will increase on renewal.

only good thing about no damage to your car is you wouldnt pay an excess.

Even if you have a claim against someone else where your insurance doesn't pay out they need to know about it

I was having to declare a claim due to a non fault accident while driving under my works policy
