    its so quiet! :(

Well i got fed up this morn so i desided since my oil restricter bolt arrived ( cheers dan ) that i might as well fit it...

While at it i thought im gonna try somehin, so one way valve came off.....

then thought na, **** it... whole lot came off!

its now back to standard and well i guess ill run it tonight and see if any o that makes a diff to the oil / smoke, running problems...

sounds so weird now when you put the foot down, all i can hear is the wxhaust now, no dump, no even the recirc..

IF it helps tho its worth doing a suppose..

ANYONE else done this and found a diff withe there cars?

( mine seems to pull more steady ) but ive rana DV for 5 yrs so i could just be imagining it

    hmmmmmm.. interesting results so far..

puff o smoke on start up BUT, reduced or very very litle smoke at trafic lights and when stopping forward motion into reverse nothing

will no more tomoz as im going to run the coupe tonight for work so ill see if it has made any diff there then....

i did notice oil in the boost pipe earlyer ( more than normal )

i wonder if the valve seam seals are on there way BUT the oil bolt has poss limmited the damage to the turbo seals?

im grasping at straws i know..

plus i really canna get used to no hearing the DV lol

Glad to hear your havin more luck with at last, I've got an oil restrictor bolt to put in too. Aint it funny the more you go back to standard the better it runs, I took out the cossie plugs(iridiums back in) and removed my collins, and seems loads better. Hope you've cured yours though, must've been doin your nut

Think doin a head gasket should be quite straight forward, although I've no done a let, only an 8valve, same same i think. Retorquing the head bolts and the like, sure there will be a sequence and probably new bolts. someones got to have that info. I'd deffo have a go though, hope you get on ok
