    Angry Why wont it rev???

    0Hi again i tryed this in the engine section a week or so ago but to no joy.
    Just replaced my head gasket as i thought this may be the problem but now im swaying towards something electronic.

    Basically to cut a long story short My astra coupe 2004 engine z18xe starts but will not rev, it has got no fault codes stored or present when running the only thing i notice that has a slight glich on normality is when OP-com is on measuring blocks with the engine running it is saying throttle position invalid when reved although it is fine on idle it says idle on log. also i have no milage display or the other display (clock+temp etc) heres a copy of log to help explain;

    Have you changed the throttle position sensor? I think it may be fixed into the throttle body though...

    ive checked the throttle body through the op com and opened and shut the throttle body via the laptop and it appears to be moving perfect ive just noticed under the steering wheel the wires have all been cut and joined think this is the prob who ever had the car has started to strip it and i dont think its been built back up right.

    the rev gauge works and sits between 500 - 1000 rpm but seems to step rather than been smooth, as soon as the throttle is touched the engine sounds as though it is being starved of fuel or air or both and cuts out.

    originally i had a fault on the abs/tc system it was saying no communication but that has now gone after i cleared it( thought it may have been T/c related and it was cutting power out) as it does when the car wheel spins although ive just checked abs/tc ecu for faults and its coming up with these

    U2143 - <Unknown DTC>
    (04) - Present
    C0050 - Rear Right Wheel Sensor Open Circuit
    (04) - Present
    C0196 - <Unknown DTC>
    (04) - Present

    do these mean anything to anyone as 2 are unknown

    please help!!!! lol
