    Console mod

Hi there, just a quick question. Im modding my console for a double din headunit. Ive opted for the 'i like to make things harder than they need to be way' by moving the heater controls down so I can retain my airvents. Question is can I use fibre glass filler from a tin and just bridge the gaps to hold heater controls to new position? Or should I use a fibre glass repair kit? Oooor should I plastic weld (what sort is best and how do i smooth it down after)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Whatever you are most comfortable working with !

    Fibreglass filler should be fine

although i took the easy route and got rid of my vents i used fibre glass 'pro' body panel filler.
worked very well indeed and the finish (once painted) didnt look any different to the rest of the plastic.

I've also used that stuff to rebuild broken brackets on a mate bumper etc.

i love working with the stuff so i'm biased lol
