    Plugs not sparking, don't understand....

    Hi,

I've changed the cylinder head in my Astra MK3 1.4. Before doing so the car would fire up just fine. Put the whole thing back together today and it's turning over when I turn the ignotion key but my plugs aren't sparking. I don't understand, as far as I can see everything electrical is plugged in properly, have disconnected and reconnected 3 times. Changed plugs but no difference. There is one 3 flat pin connecter left disconnected but I cannot see anywhere for this to plug in so am assuming that it's there for diagnostics. I also had a look at the handbook to find the ignition fuse to make sure it was ok but there is no mention of a fuse for the ignotion system at all. I am at a loss, my girlfriend is pregnant and 1 day overdue with signs of not long to go and I really though that fitting the new cylinder head would be the end of it. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated I would consult a haynes manual but it seems that none of the 3 local shops have the manual formy model and I can't find a PDF online either.

    Danny

when i swapped my plugs out i totally forgot to reconnect the coil pack... it span over and wouldnt spark
for a brief second i was bricking it, but then i came to my senses and realised lol

IMO it would be worth re doing everything slowly to make sure everything is reconnected as you go
