    fault with my astra...please help!!!!

    i got a fault with my car...i got it cleared the the fault was

    P0171 Fuel Trim too Lean (Bank 1)

    what should i do? the garage said it might be the fuel filter needs changing

    the car i drive is a astra h 1.6 twin port

    can you help me ?

    they will have a job changing the fuel filter mate, i does not have an external one as such, it is part of the fuel pump strainer system. P0171 can be caused by very low fuel pressure, MAP sensor faults and faulty O2 sensors, so unless your garage can be more specific in their diagnosis, you will have to narrow it down by elimination

    you say very low fuel pressure, MAP sensor faults and faulty O2 sensors

    what should i do then? get an 02 sensor? and see what happens?

    that would be where i would start mate, before moving onto fuel pressure and pump
