    1.6 16v tune up/remap??

    ive fitted a sports cat , full cat back exhust , pannel filter vectra c air pipe.
    ive been told buy a few mates it dont sound very good and shld get it set up or remapped to get mods working properly.
    also its useing alot of fuel at the mo.
    what u guys think i should do?

    with those type of mods the car ECU should be able to cope fine without a need for remapping unless sports cams etc have bee added. i would say the extra fuel useage is coming from the system having to richen itself up due to the slightly leaner mix that sports cats and free flow exhausts can create the main benefit of a remap on the 1.6 engine is a smoother slightly more fuel efficient engine with maybe around 7bhp extra

    you could do afew more mods before a map like a 4-2-1 mani and new inlet mani and maybe some cams

    iv put a 4-2-1, decat, induction kit and full cat back on my 1.4 and im doing crap on petrol £20 about 17l does me 80-87miles got a inlet mani ready to go on aswell

    hoping to hell when i get mine mapped it helps out the mpg under normal driving

    i got sum fast road cams to get fitted , should i get it checked then?
    i put £15 in other week and got 90 miles from it.
    and if i put a £5 in i only get 25 - 30 miles outa her.
    does that sound about rite?

    and my know ex gf used to drive it and let it get realy low on petrol and on more than 5 times totaly ran out on way home.
    would a new fuel filter help?

    nice one mate, maybe get the map after the cams would get more outta everything that way and your doing alot better than me on fuel.

    yes a new fuel filter would help since you have most likly dragged all the crap out the bottom off your tank into the filter
