    Aftermarket Stereo Fitting

    Hi
Finally taken the plunge and bought a JVC KD-AVX810 stereo, to replace the very dissapointing CD30MP3

Was wondering if anyone might be able to give me some advice in terms of what I will need in terms of extras / leads etc to get this up and running and looking sweet!!!

Want to retain my steering wheel controls if possible, and I have the piano black fascia.

Also, despite having no experience of this kind of thing, im going to have a crack at fitting this myself so if anyone knows of any good sites which will help me to install this would be hugely appreciated!!
Thanks very much for your help - massively appreciated!

Assuming it has the option to link it to steering wheel controls get yourself the connects2 CTSVX002 and the JVC patch lead then your new headunit will be plug and play. The only other thing you'll need is a aerial adaptor by autoleads PC5-136

Have a search on here for help on fitting it all

great stuff - thanks for the info

not entirely sure how i find out if i can run the steering wheel controls with this model ........is there a special feature that radios need to do this then? (not overly sure what im looking for!! )

would also assume ill need some sort of fascia so it sits properly in the hole.......can anyone guarentee any good (cheap) suppliers of these?

    thanks!!

    one other thing actually.....

just spent an hour online trying to find some kind of 'step by step' guide to fitting a double din stereo into an Astra, but cant seem to find anything which is a bit worrying

Anyone ever seen anything like this which would be useful for me??

    Thanks!!

Yeah you'll need a facia plate, connects2 again make good ones

If I could find a owners manual or fitting diagram for your headunit I could advise on the steering wheel controls but my search on JVC's site drew a blank
