    new brakes, no pressure, help!!

    hi guys,

Me and a mate have just completed a 5 stud hub conversion, with new discs, pads and braided hoses, but i have to pump the pedal and sometimes use the handbrake to get me to stop. we've bled the brakes 3 times, and still no change. we've checked to make sure all of the new hoses are tight and that they don't leak, but still no joy!!

    any ideas?

    cheers,

    Phil

Have you got the callipers on the righ sides?? Bleed nipples to the top? Simple thing but I've seen many people get it wrong!

could still be air in the system or the brake master cylinder is not able to move the amount of fluid that needs too. mite have to change it too but i would bleed brakes again.

Pressure bleed kit them, also do the clutch,

failing that it could be a faulty brake master cylinder

thanks for the quick replies guys,

calipers are on the right sides, i did check after reading that, lol

was thinking master cylinder, but wasn't sure, will bleed the brakes again later on, see if that does anything, the last time we bled them, there was very little air in there and we thougth we'd got it all out,

failing that, i i'll drop it off at the local garage in the morning,

    thanks again every body!!

dropped it off at the garage yesterday morning, they re bled the system, changed a nipple that we'd snapped when we were bleeding them, and put the clips on properly!!

They had it all day, and charged me £30, but it now stops, which is good!!

    cheers everybody for your input!!

    Phil
