    what engine is it

and what brand of AFM did u fit?

Genuine Bosch/Siemens (depending on which engine u have)?

    or cheap aftermarket one

have u read the fault codes?

No point replacing components willy nilly until u read what the actual spanner light refers to

right here we go the first set of codes i got before a changed the maf sensor were 0460 0420 0110
so some dude told me that 0110 was maf sensor so i replaced but then i started getting these codes
1600 0606 1555 so i erased these with my laptop hoping for the best but now im getting these
1500 1555 0335 and my engine nearly cuts out on idle

Did you disconnect the battery for half an hour after fitting the new maf to allow the ecu to map itself to the new sensor? heard this is important.

As far as I know 0100 is a maf fault my car did exactly the same thing when I put an aftermarket part on. The quality is poor and the engine doesn’t like them.
Just received the original part today will put it on and see what happens and let you know.

1555 codes are usually down to the throttle body

seeing as the Z18 has a whole boat load of gadgets within the TB id remove it and give it a full going over with petrol (or carb cleaner if u must)

so what brand of AFM did u fit?

another root cause could be the ECU due to its location it suffers heatsoak and can cause a multitude of problems

Genuine Siemens AFM is the first step though, full TB clean is obligatory too then take it from there
