    P0170 Help

Hi guys just after some info really i have done abit of research on this and it seems related to a few different issues. I have recently had my car mapped at red dot in january and now i have this code pop up and eml on sumtimes the traction control light pops on, i believe this is afm related ? I havent changed anything apart from putting a one way valve on the other week. Could it be a air leak in a hose perhaps ? or deffo afm on its way out the car has done 80k now

    Cheers for help

    Hi bud,

I had this fault after my Red Dot map i got the same day as you!, mine was because the map was overfuelling in the midrange and running lean in the top end, P0170 is Fuel Trim Malfunction error, the ecu can trim the fuel back by 25% either way, when i had mine datalogged at Courtenays they were at -26% hence the fault code. The code came back a few days after i reset it again.

Sorry to hear your having problems mate,

Im not blaming reddot i was and am up to this point completely happy with their serice and the power the car made. I am hoping this is just down to a afm and nothing more.
