    Metal on metal noise when turning right

    Hi

    just hopped in my astra to go into town and noticed when I turn right there's a metal on metal noise coming from the right hand side of the car, it only makes the noise when moveing, not shore what it is as it's just come on never noticed it befor, any ideas as to what it could be?

    I would say it sounds like your brake pads have warn down on the right side so its metal on metal.

    hi mate same problem with me it did turn out to be the brake pads where worn out so replaced them and as good as new

    Thanks guys, have booked the car in tomorrow at the local vauxhall garage to get the pads changed.

    Had this on my Vectra at the back. The rear pads and discs were definetly past their best!
