    CD30 & Bluetooth

    Hi Guys,

Would like some help as I think I've over researched this and confused myself!

I've got a CD30 MP3 as standard in my 08 Astra. I'd like to use my iphone and play my mp3s via bluetooth.

Is there any way this is possible? I've tried using the AUX jack and the quality isn't great, especially when I compare it to a bluetooth enable (aftermarket) headunit.

Is there any way to enable the CD30 to use bluetooth?

    Thanks!

You can get the bluetooth add on bits for your headunit but it will only ever give a mono output as it's not designed to stream music

Have a look at the Parrot MK9100 or 9200 bluetooth/ ipod phone kits

    Whist investigating, I found this...

    http://www.ktduk.com/product/connect..._a2dp_aux_mp3/

Seems like I just wire it up and go. Can't be that simple surely? I'll need to get an RCA to 3.5 phono splitter but that seems like that.

    What do we reckon?

You'll still be relying on the same aux input though....

Had a think over the weekend and I'm going to buy the kit and have a go. Will report back when done. I'll hide the unit under the Accessory tray and take the Ignition live from the Ciggy lighter.

Only concern I think will be loss of quality of sound. Bluetoothing to the until and then having to send the RCA signal back through the AUX input to the headunit. Might end up being worse that just using the cable and having a wire running through the cabin.

    Thanks for the input Autosparks.

So, I've fitted it and.... SUCCESS!!

Works well. Quality is better than the lead but not like a CD. 95% there mind.

I've put a post up on how to do it if anyone's interested...

I fail to see how streaming you music via a bluetooth adaptor when then goes into the same aux socket gives you better music unless the 3.5mm jack on the ipod/phone is crap
