finally started my new boot build :)

As title says i've finally started my new boot build . I've had everything sat around for months now but due to weather i just couldn't be fecked lol. But for the first time in a very long time the sun is out and i've finally started . Just installed a new head unit on monday a pioneer avic x3 its brilliant took a day to install but well worth it . Will try and get pics of it once i've reconnected my battery . But heres a couple of pics of what is the beginning of my boot install and tbh i'm very proud of myself for what i've done today only 5 hours to lol.

Heres a few pics of what i've done so far

    Made a new mdf floor:

Placed the speakers amps and power cap on it:

In boot not got pics of the bases of the amps and cap yet will get tomorrow:

Carpet is wrong colour but i'll retrim the rest of boot at some point but just wanting it in as i miss bass lol

But anyways hope you like it so far

i no it sounds daft mate but how did you cut the right shape for the boot floor? Did you use the carpet as a template.

If you are going to have 6x9's (advised not to have them in a full setup) make sure you cover the bottom of them. They share the same airspace as the air pushed out by the sub and with the force of them it can damage the cone etc.

    Looks good so far though

I think for the 2 subs, the A7 amp, the A2 amp, 2 6x9's, power cap, wires, Mdf, carpet and other little bits its probable cost me around £700 . I've also changed the rest of the speakers in car which was about £170 then the head unit well i won't tell you that as thats more than the boot install and all speakers put together lol

Ye i just used the carpet as a template had to cut a liitle of the back as the carpet folds up the seats a little.

Cheers bud . I've had a sub in before and didn't seem to affect the 6x9's didn't have much power coming out the 6x9's anyways

Fair enough mate. When you're running more power and are after a better sound stage, amped front components are the way to go, just a bit of a tip for you
