    tools needed?

    just wondering what tools or anything else il need to put coilovers on my mk4 ?

    18 and 19mm spanner, allen keys, 18mm swan kneck spanner for the top, obv all the bits to take your wheels ovv, jack, and a large screwdriver/prybar...and a helping hand if you can get one

    some one sayd spring compressors and a torque rench are they really needed if so al buy them ,thanks for that quick reply mate

    i didnt use either but you can use if you want, doesnt make mush difference as long as you arent a mouse or female lol no sexism offence meant, in terms of torque wrench, tighten it as far as it will go lol

    What tools did you use to do the rear then? nothing on that list will do the rears

    E18 or E20 torx on the rear IIRC

    E18 or E20 torque socket. Took me ages to get hold of those! Bloody pain in the ars - halfords dont sell the right size unless you want the full kit for £100! Make sure you have those before you start... otherwise expect

    DELAYS!

    all you need to do the back is a 15mm and 16mm spanner,to do the front you dont need a spring compressor if you undo the bottom first so it is hanging,then undo the top bolt and it should just drop out, mind your feet though, comes out a bit sharpish sometimes,dont forget to keep the rubber mounts off the top because you will need to swap them onto your new coilovers. it will be easier if somebody gave u a hand to be honest.

    check the How To's mate... there are 2 in there for front and rear suspension
    GSi Turbo - CS2 - 253bhp / 275ft/lb Torque
    1/4 mile - 14.62secs @ 95.5mph
