as some of you may know, Im building a stripped out LET track van. I got the wrong fuel tank with the engine, so I fitted the correct one on today. However this then meant the exhaust I have wouldnt fit, and not having any money I decided to set about it with the angle grinder and welder.
Its only a temporary solution (until it gets ripped off cos its only a few cms of the ground )
this is NOT a road car
Heres what I did
I didnt have any new exhast pieces so I had to use what I already had
and then i nearly cut my thumb off with the grinder, notice the mark on my nail, was a bit close!
the exhaust tip wouldnt have look right if both
tips were level as one would sit way under the side skirt, so I extended one tip
these welds arent very tidy as the metal here is very thin
my welder+thin metal = fail
I need to move the handbrake cable as its making the exhaust sit too low and weld some brackets onto the underside of the van for its new location, but other than that jobs a good un
