    lost my 'clay' virginity

    Had a go at clayin today. Is a massive effort, but seemed worth it. Car came up pretty good. Would have took pics but its dark now! started at 12! lol

    claying is easy and no effort.

    shouldnt take too long to do it. i do a coupe in 20-30 mins

    Clayin is a form of detailing on a car, it's where you rub he paint work down with a clay bar to remove stuck on dirt etc, then you usually give it a good polish and it looks like new. :-)

    As above, smooths out the paint work.

    Claying isn't an effort. Since it's your first time, you've probably put more effort into it than needed. You'll soon get sick of that and do it quickly

    Thankyou , i use a more expensive type of T cut but finer called Zymol its brill, is that the thing ya mean?

    No it's just a bit of clay you use after washing to remove tree sap, tar, stick on dirt. You then use your polish afterwards...my way when I can be bothered is:

    Wash/Clay/Paint Cleaner/Polish/Wax/Sealant.

    It took ages! is minty mint now tho. I think i may have been over using the spray tho, as thats what took the time buffing out.
