    Aerial

Have just changed over my tape player, all works BUT the aerial lead has snapped and the copper has come away from the connector have been trying to bodge it for a while now, but been beaten by the light

Question is, has it happened before to anyone and they have found a way to fix/bodge it?

Or is it a case of going to need to re-wire it from roof aerial to dash again?

    Hope this makes sense.......

EDIT: Frogot to say its a MK4 5Door

    How Much?

As long as the leads are long enough to reach not sure where the base is on a van, back or front??

Maybe someone else could say if this would work or not for definate, dont see why not my self?

There is supposed to be a join in the aerial cable beside the gear lever, you should only need the front section of cable.

Yep there's a connector by the gearlever so you'll only need to replace the front section. Dodging doesn't work on the vauxhalls with the thin aerial wires

No use, as the connector is different.
Havn't been able to identify the part number yet, still searching.

Came on to ask this aswell. Any luck SQ Man?

Rather than starting a new thread... i have found the connector lifted the gear gaitor up but how do you take it right off, its just haning there... is the only way to take the gear knob right off? then slide it up or is there a different way around it?
