High level brake light. Tip for removal plz (before i break something).

Mine has a bit of condensation in it. A fair bit now. I was going to remove & set to with a small flat head screwdriver, until things felt like they were on the verge of snapping, so i thought i best not & i should come & ask before going any further

How do i remove this then? I don't see any screws. I was putting the screwdriver in between the black plastic bit on the rear windscreen & the beige cardboardy bit.

Remove the surrounding trim, then remove the screws holding it on.

By surrounding trim, i'm taking that i was off the mark in what i was trying to pry out

& instead i should be attempting to remove what i've marked with the red X

    ?

How does this come out? I'm about to get on with tea & it'll be getting dark by the time i'm done so figure i should ask

Yes remove the bits marked with the 'X'

Once they are removed you will see 2 screws holding it to the tailgate.

U had a look at it today but i didn't have time to crack on as i've had to help out with a bit of DIY today (no sniggering!! lol)

As you lift the boot, double back on yourself & there's the plastic covering - which the ties that come from the parcel shelf fix into

Do you need to remove this plastic? From what i could see, it's the only way you can remove the trim you mentioned as the trim ends UNDER this plastic & this plastic covering has torx screws in.

If that's how you do it then i'm on the right track.

    Thats it yes.

Remove the plastic boot trim and then you can start to remove the side bits.
