    astra v6 clutch problem

i've just fitted a v6 in my astra g van. i tried the clutch the other day and the slave cylinder in the box started leaking, i just put it down to a worn cylinder and we removed the gearbox and fitted a new one and this one is leaking. i just wanted to know if there is different slave cylinders to go in the f23 for different engines. we think maybe because mine was a 2.0 dti with a dual mass flywheel and now it has a calibra turbo clutch and flywheel the slave cylinder is having to reach too far and this is making it leak. has anyone had this problem.

    thanks

best thing to do is drop a nut in the slave between the piston and rod and see if that will take up the slack and keep the piston in the cylinder then you know thats your prob

there are 2 different f23 gearboxes , depends if it was a dual mass flywheel engine or not ,only about 1/2 inch difference in the bellhousing depth but thats all it takes ,had the opposite trouble when i fitted one to a dti where i had no drive as came from a solid flyweel engine and van i was doing had a dmf
