    Engine start issues

    I have a Vauxhall Astra Sportback 1.8 sri. 2006

I have recently experienced issues with my car starting mainly in the morning or after long spells of not driving. It has got worse during the winter months. It seems to be an intermittent problem. As I try to start the engine it clicks approx 5 times before going dead.

I was told to change the battery, which I did, this worked for about a month before I started experiencing problems again. I find myself having to jump start it on most occasions to get it running!

Could it be the starter motor or spark plugs??

    It could be your battery

It sounds like a. your alternator isn't charging your battery properly
    b. your battery is being drained by something not disconnecting
    C. your battery is knackered (again!!)

Not really your starter motor or the spark plugs.
