    V power is great!

I know, I know there are countless posts of this but my god the last month using V Power has transformed my car

I used Tesco 99 ron before, I then had a bit more income and decided to go back to using V Power.

Before I used V Power I did not have all the mods listed, just a straight through pipe.

It took a while to bed in but the car pulls like a train though all the way from 2,000 RPM.

With my 4-2-1 manifold, sports cat, custom exhaust, irmscher backbox and Dblias flowamaster its insane, sometimes laughable that petrol can make that much difference.

The car also pops and bangs on the overrun when the cat is hot enough. All I need to do to check if I can start booting it is put the window down and listen for the pops.

The only downside though is with spirited driving I get some really pants MPG.

I filled up 21 and got 85 miles before the red warning light hit

Normal driving and its the same as tesco though

However I don't think I'll go back to using tesco again.

V Power made very little difference when I had light mods but a world of difference with the mods I have now. If you are in a similar situation I defintiely recommend it.

I ONLY use Shell V-Power, I used to work for Shell so I knew the benefits and thought I should try it, I have never gone back since.

It's a pain when the nearest Shell is about 10 miles away, but the lanes are worth the drive

Great for collecting Airmiles too, join the V-Power Club.

With the local Shell, it's not really worth it here imo

When i started getting it, it was an extra 6p over normal, so i got V-Power

It's now an extra 10p per litre, so sod that

Went to Kilmarnock to see the g/f's folks the other week & it was only an extra 7p over standard

well I went back to Tesco 99 ron for a week and the car ran like crap

juddery and nowhere as smooth, there is a bridge near me and from 30-70 in 3rd gear it was absolutely rubbish

went back to v power and all is good

what isnt good is 1.24 a litre!

I used a fuel economy calculator & with the (now) 10p difference instead of 6p originally for me, the difference (using guesswork mpg stats) is virtually sod all.

I think i used a stat of 35mpg for V Power -vs- standard 32mpg as last summer i was on 35-37mpg V-Power, but this winter i was on 31-33mpg which is another reason i said sod it & downed to standard.

With those stats, the difference over a given journey was i think about 8p cheaper for V-Power. That's only IF the mpg guesstimates are near to being accurate.

If V-Power doesn't give me a hike of 3mpg then it's no longer worth it.

It'll never happen, but they'd be a bit funked if everyone refused to fuel their motors.
