    alarm/immobiliser

    hi all i have a astravan mk4 it has a immobiliser fitted already but i wanted to fit an alarm to it is there an add on alarm so i ca use the same key fob ?? thanks dave...

    look up a thatcham 2 to 1 upgrade im sure there someone on here who actually fits them

    Autosparks does alarms have a word with him, he knowd his business too so will defo give good information.

    There are a few different makes of alarm out there that will link onto the factory remote. Sigmas are the one I fit, Cobra and Toad also do a similar alarm.

    Who ever fits it though make sure they inhibit it properally so the alarm only disarms from the remote rather than the key in the door which is a short cut some alarm fitters do and use the excuse that the cars deadlocked so not one can pull the button up.........

    I'm too far away of course-but desparately need alarm immobiliser. What is the approx££££I'll have to spend.?

    Unless you have a Astra thats registered before 1996 you don;t need a immobiliser

    The company I work for charge nearly £300 for thatham 2-1 upgrade alarm and closer to £200 for a non insurance approved alarm

    Mmm??---I'm told that mine doesn't have immobilesor (99 model) I must start reading the book!
