    1.9 cdti astra sri what bhp

    hey im new to the site I have tried searching for the answer but cant find anything my girlfriend has just bought a 56 plate 1.9 cdti sri 120 but according to the insurance companies its a 150 is ther any way I cant find out what it should be many thanks

    1 way is the back of the car if the cdti if the TI part is in red then it could be the 150

    also the oil cap if its on the drive side its the 120 if on the passenger side its probs the 150..

    cheers for the reply well it has a red ti dont know about the filer cap until i get a chance to look at it

    not allways mate ppl can change them. the oil cap is the best bet.....

    oil cap is on passenger side I text that carspotter thing advertised on tv lastnight that came back as 150 aswell certainly goes well enough result

    yep that will be the 150 mate... now buy a dtuk green box and it will go even better than "well enough" lol

    Early 120s had the 16V engine detuned, so Oil cap isn't always conclusive either.

    theres so much bull on here about diesels soo many people know so much without knowing anything cos its always just a 'map' lol honestly, wheres your oil filler cap if its on the right youve got a 150 (16v) or the left youve got a 120 (8v)

    like the man said the early ones were the same engin mate so the oil cap was on the rite vauxhall just tuned them down to 120. but im sure that was only to 55reg,,,, but theres not many of them about

    but there was defo 2 16v versions a 150 and a 120 then vauxhall stoped that and made the 8v and 16v
