Obsolete technologies still representing a bargain...

A bit random this one, but on a whim I've just bought an XBox 360 HD DVD drive. remember them? the 2000's version of Betamax

Why I hear you ask? Well it was £10.50 plus £5 postage, it plays standard DVDs just like a "normal" DVD player would (and upscales them to higher def!) and you can still get all the old classic/retro/cult films that should make up your average film lover's collection, plus more recent titles including a few 2009 releases! Oh and all HD DVD's are region free meaning by looking to the US and Japanese sites I've just bought a handful of films like American Gangster, Bourne Supremacy, Transformers etc for under £2.50 each (delivered ).

So what other "obsolete" technologies do people have, and still enjoy?

I've got my 2007 Vauxhall Vectra

Obsolete as you like, but has a 2.8l turbo engine, 250bhp (soon to be 300bhp) and just about every possible extra.

List price with all the extras 3 years ago would have been near £28k, I got it for about £8k with 16000 miles on the clock.

Depreciation is a bitch, bet the bloke who traded it in cried buckets
