    Question what do i need?

    hi, just bought some new discs and pads for the car. what tools do i need to do it? do i need a torque wrench?

    ability not to kill urself? if never done before get someone to help u whom has experiance...

    brake cleaner to clean preserving oil off new disc..

    axle stands

    jack

    screwdriver to unscrew disk from hub (or drill if rounded or seized)

    G clamp to squezze brake piston back in..
    socket or torx to remove caliper and bungee to hang caliper up on front leg as u dont want it dangling on it own brake hose.

    copper grease to put on hub face to stop seizing disc to hub and some on back pads meet brake pistons..

    and make sure u take the brake resevoir bottle lid off
    1.8 16v 99 T plate.

    Doing discs and pads is pretty straight forward. To add to the list of tools I'd suggest a hammer for a bit of gentle persuasion or a breaker bar if bolts are a bit tight.

    If you don't have a torque wrench when you come to tighten things up, just make sure everything is FT...... F***ing tight!!

    If its got pistons or tits, its gonna be expensive!!

    don't forget to clean the hub of rust and dirt etc before putting the new disc on, this will prevent disc run out and open the bleed nipple when forcing back the caliper piston, this will prevent the master cylinder seals reversing in on themselves
