Will i have the only Mk4 Cabby running on LPG?

Am i mad? I dropped my cabby off last week in stoke and I pick it up tomorrow... LPG converted!!

Thinking long term, i spend about 250 a month on fuel at about 111p per litre...

LPG round here is about 58p per litre...

Conversion has cost me 1500, everything done :-D teoretcially it will have paid for itself in a year, everything after that being a saving.

So my question, are there any other mk4 cabbys that have been converted to LPG?

Vauxhall didn't do Dual Fuel MK4 Cabby so could well be.

Most aftermarket fitments are on V6s/V8s due to the high initial outlay.

my DF Estate does 30mpg on Gas, 35mpg on Petrol so would have taken 10 years to pay back the conversion costs on my mileage.

Not bad! I had my 1.6 16v factory converted back in the days of 50% pre-tax rebates so cost me about £900. I reckoned on 18mnths of 20k per annum to get the money back.

I've seen an LPG coupe on here, but no cabriolet

At last another astra cabby with LPG, see if you can beat my best. 320 miles from a full tank of LPG. Just wait for the road tax renewal, the LPG brings it down nicely

Well last year i paid £150 for a full years road tax, rather pay that than the full amount for a 1.8.

    This would actually been nice.

What happens if you run out of LPG? Will it start using petrol instead, or?

as far as i know you start on petrol and then it moves onto LPG so if you ran out o LPG surely it would be back to petrol? mean you could go something like 600 miles without having to stop to fill up tho...

    thats handy lol
