    Fuel Pump

Quick question, how much should a fuel pump cost to replace at a garage? I have a 1.6 16v on an 02 plate

    Cheers

If memory serves from when mine went, probably around £100 or less fitted, but this was a year or so back.

One other question, would driving it almost constantly on the flashing petrol light cause any damage, ie pulling the crap through the filter therefore blocking it?

I normally only put about £10 of petrol in a week and always let it go down to the flashing light before putting more in.

It can cause sludge to be pulled through yeah, not usually said to be good to drive to the light all the time and to always run a a very empty tank. This also used to be bad for the CAT but I think this may have been on older cars?
