    Just bought VXR Turbo

Just bit the bullet their and ordered my new VXR Turbo from AutoVaux, first big modification ive done to the car really. Does anyone think it will make a noticable diffrence in power as the rest of the car is standard?

Needs to be remapped to see any gains. The actuator will need adjusting to suit the zlet

You will definitely see gains once you have the remap.

done the same thing a few weeks back m8,
wont see any gains unless mapped (or other mods too)
mines standard but turbo went pop so had to get a new one, went with the VXR unit,
Having a little prob with mine, believe its loosing boost at top end,
have been told it may have something to do with the actuator,
the actuator is setup differently on the vxr unit, 5/6 threads showing at the bottom end of it, needs to be taken down to 3 threads showing (how it would have been setup on the zlet unit) i will be trying this at the weekend to see if it helps.

It's not about how many threads are showing but at what psi it's set at. TV covered this last issue I think, vxr is set at about 10-11 but a let should be 8-9 I'll check later

Indeed, but i'm not running a boost gauge so i cannot go by pressure,
it has been covered in a few threads on here, thats where im getting the 'thread theory' from,

    fanx for the info

Yeah i think mine is about 8 or 9 threads. Over boost at 10 11 then down to 8 or 9. Goes sweet as.
