    mk4 astra x25xe with f23

    quick question

im putting the x25xe in my mk4 astra

    i have an f23 from a vectra v6.

firstly. is there a difference between the f23 in the vectra and that from the astra? do they mount differently?

also, are the f23 clutches the same, or do they differ between the cars?

    thanks

the V6 F23 is longer than the 4 pots,

Vectras mount from the front like MK3 astras, Cavs etc.
MK4 mounts from the top, so you'll need to check the mounting holes are in the top for a mk4 mount.

The V6 clutch is differnt due to the longer bell housing and shorter engine.

I'd either put a MK4 2.0 SRI or Turbo F23 in there for close ratio.
Or a 2.0 Diesel F23 for wide ratio.
If yours is rod shift (F13/17/18 ) you'll need the Astra F23 cable shift mech and gear lever, or just fir a MK4 F18 box to keep rod shift.
