    noise of a broken turbo?

What kind ofnoise does a broken turbo make? I had a decat pipe fitted and had the eml come on when i put my foot down. i reset it and it went and has not come back on. the turbo over the last month was pretty inconsistant holding boost. But since then it has been everytime its on full boost, it also makes a different noise on full boost, more of a high pitch noise. It sounds the same as it used to on lower boost.

No smoking on boost at all, and not losing a massive amount of oil.

so i dunno if this noise is a problem?

it could just simply be that you have a better flow from the car now with the pre cat and now you here the tubo spool up more?

there was no oil in the old pre cat and not alot in the boost pipe, and like i say no smoke. So a decat can change the sound of the turbo.?

not really change the sound of it but u might think it sounds diff if that makes sence?

like taking the air filter out and reving, turbo sounds diff as to when filter is in..

Deffinetly the bearing, i believe the unsteady boost it's something to do with the shaft being loose in the bearing, the actuator can't control it accurately... or something along those lines..lol

    Yeah think so lol

you can write what i know about motors on the back of a stamp. If it was the bearings would it not make the noise on low and high boost?
