Ignition lights on briefly whilst driving.

When driving my Astra 1.7 CDTI SRI 100 registered October 2007 I have noticed that my ignition lights appear briefly (approx 1 to 2 seconds) as if I had stalled the car. This has happened a couple of times, once when I was driving at 70 mph and once when I was driving at 5 mph. Has this happened to anyone else or does it need investigating by Vauxhal

Hi its not just the ignition light that comes on but the other dashboard lights as well as if you had just turned the ignition key on before you starte the car ie handbrake light EPS light etc.

This happened to me once (all lights on, and speedo and tacho went to zero). I scared the shit out of me, but has never happened again. A couple of other people also experienced this, also only once and never again.

Happen to me once also - 100MPH at night (Germany ) and suddenly all lights went off (including dipped beam), engine lost power and one second later wholee dashboard lit and everything went back to normal.

    Never happen again

I too have this problem, its been on and off, astra 1.7cdti 2005 estate, its totally random and its always the red lights on the rev copunter , somtimes teh handbrake light, coolant lights, sealt belt light, oil light. I checked all liquids and everything is ok, i suspect a loose electrical connection somewhere and its really pissing me off.
