    Cobra Alarm

I have a Cobra alarm fitted to my Astra. I currently have the LED posistioned on the small pannel below the ash tray, i want to move it. Is this something i can do myself, or do i need to return to the company that fitted the alarm?

Yes, you should be able to relocated it. If it's just a plain LED all you need to do is just drill a 5mm hole in the new panel, then fit the LED through from the rear.

Then you will need to drill a suitable sized hole for the LED/Button.
If needs be, you can follow the cable back to the alarm brain & unplug it.

The LED will have 2 connectors on it that will need unplugging so you can move the LED. If I had my cone cutter in front of me I could tell you the size of hole you need to drill, I think it's 8 or 9mm

Thanks for the advice, as it was dry today i managed to get outto the car and have a good look at moving the led. Managed to trace the wire back to the connector where it joins up to a few other wires and unplugged it. Drilled a new hole where i want the led and then moved it, reconnected. Everyhting has been ok so no problems. Have to say that the company that installed the alarm did a tidy job, all the wireing is hidden and nicely tapped together. Took me a while to get to it.
