    1.9 CDTI 150 over fueling?

Hi all, im a new member with a 11 week old astra cdti 150 with ext pack.

Problem is near enough from new it puffs out blue smoke on COLD start up, which stinks of unburnt diesel. Is this a known problem?

Havent had chance or time to go back to Vauxhall yet.

    Thanks in advance, Jake

Are you waiting for the preheat light to go out before starting?

Yes. Def something not right, I work with big common rail diesels everyday and would only expect puff of black smoke on cold start, along with the nice smell of burnt diesel.

Car only has 2k on clock and this seems to be getting worst.

    Cheers

Sounds like you could have a faulty nozzle on one injector. They can leak at low pressures but seal when they are subjected to higher pressures. I'd still take it back to vauxhall and get them to sort it tho!!
