i went on one in a scooby, was only the short half hour jobby though and not a full day, but thoroughly enjoyed it, especially when the instructor told me to follow the aston down the straight, as we will take him in the corner!! lol

defo want to do a full days one, so yes i would say they are worth it. let me see if i can find the details of where i went.

I went on one in a Lambo Gallardo. It was a gift from my girlfriend. I enjoyed it but it was a complete rip off on the whole and wouldnt do it again. Its not really driving, just piloting a car around a track a couple of times.
The instructor told you when to change gear and brake and I just accelerated and changed gear on demand.
Then there was an extra insurance to pay of £25 or failing that pay the first £3000 of any damage. Was everyman racing I went with near Loughborough. So from Norwich was a bloody long day.

I did one through driveme.net. Was brilliant. The instructor teaches you the car and the track, then lets you get on with it, just advises you in the bends. If you come up behind another car, they pull over, and if someone fasrter comes up behind you, you give way to them.

I drove a scooby, evo8, 106 Rallye on gravel soaked with diesel and water to make it slick, and an Audi R8.

Also done a RWYB track day at Castle Combe last saturday, loved every minute of it.

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

se6, you get what you pay for on these things, you can pay as little as about £50 and all you is as you say, but pay up a bit more and you get more than just a couple of laps.
