    Bonnet catch?

so guys, i might need some of you to take pictures of your bonnet catches (the metal bit on the slam pannel where the bonnet clips onto when closed)

i put a new bonnet on today (with the grill off thank god..) and lined up the catch etc.. so.. from fully closed, i pull the tab on the inside of the car, go to the front, pull the tab, try to lift the bonnet up but it hits and doesnt lift up... what i have to do is pull the tab, and yank the bonnet up pretty hard and it opens.

do any of your bonnets hit anything or do they lift up 100% smooth?

i think the slam pannels been bent abit so i think thats at fault, so maybe pictures of yours so i can see what its ment to look like.

    thanks for any replies

Had a problem like that with mine and ended up pulling the tab to hard and it snapped off in the end got my local garage to repair the tab and inline everything correctly works fine now (just be careful not to make the same mistake i did and pull to hard lol)

so does nobody have a picture?

tried to open the bonnet today and its jammed completely, cant even open it anymore.

im going to have to smash the grill to get the bonnet back up, iv orderd a debadged grill for £12 but id rather fix the problem rather than having to smash the grill everytime i want to open the bonnet

also, my battery is flat, thats why i need to be under the bonnet every other day.

    anybody?!
